Having problems or general weirdness with the operation of your game?
Sorry you're having some hiccups with the game. Don't despair! We have a few bug-squashing tricks that might help out.

Restart your device…
Seems simple, but it's the first defense against bugs. Why? Just like people work better after a good night's sleep, all computers need to clear out their short-term memories and start fresh. Keeping devices on 24/7 eventually leads to weirdness. A quick restart often wipes this weirdness away. A friendly piece of advice: Always restart your device after installing any app. It makes your device, and us developers, happy. ☺

To restart an Apple device: Hold down the top button for a few seconds until you see the "slide power off" bar. Slide the red tab to the right and watch the device power down.

To restart an Android device: This varies across devices, but usually you can just hold down the power button for a few seconds. Check your owner's manual if you need help.

Reevaluate your memory usage…
We all need room to breathe—so does your device. If you've maxed out your storage space, delete a few things you can get by without. Can we suggest some of those multiple retakes of your pet pictures for starters? Leaving about a gigabyte free allows your device to have breathing room to store little bits of information needed when running your apps. Maxing out your storage space is a common instigator of crashes, bugs, and general weirdness. Not sure how much space you have left? See below to find out.

Find out how much memory you have left on an Apple device: From the Home screen, tap on Settings, then General, then About. Next, scroll down to Available. You want to see at least 1 gigabyte here.

Find out how much memory you have left on an Android device: From the home screen, press the Menu button. Then, tap Settings, then Storage (it could be called SD Card & Phone Storage or something similar). You should see "Application Storage" and "Space Available." Keep in mind this varies across devices, so check your owner's manual for more specific information.

Close apps you aren't using…
All that action-packed fun and awesome graphics use valuable system resources. You'd be surprised to see how many apps you have running in the background. While devices can multitask more than ever before, there's a limit to what they can do before weirdness ensues and things slow down. Close apps you don't need by following the instructions below.

Close apps running in the background on an Apple device: From the Home screen, hit the Home button twice. You'll see a row of apps appear on the bottom of the screen. Swipe left or right to see which apps are running. Select an app you want to close by holding your finger on it for about two seconds. Then, tap the red minus sign to close the app. Don't worry, this doesn't delete the app, it just closes it so it doesn't use up system resources.

Close apps running in the background on an Android device: This will vary across devices and your version of Android, but start by tapping "Settings." Then, tap "Apps" or "Applications." Next, tap "Manage Applications" or "Running" to view your list of running applications. Select the app that you want to close and tap "Force Stop" or "Stop." To close another app, tap "Go Back" and repeat the process until you've closed all the apps you don't need. As always, check your owner's manual if you need specific instructions for your Android device.

Update Your Device to the Latest OS Version
Lastly, be sure that you have updated your device to the latest version of your phone's operating system (OS). See your owner's manual for the proper method of updating.
